AME - Open-source robotic hand

The goal of this project is to develop an open-source robotic hand based on the Magpie gripper, a four-bar linkage with individually actuated fingers, torque control and a 3D camera in the palm. The student will begin fabricating a version of the hand by themselves, building up on recent work done by students at CU Boulder and Rochester Institute of Technology, test the hand on a robotic platform, propose an improved design, and finally validate the design hypothesis in a robotic experiment.
