AME - Experimental Aerodynamics and Fluid Mechanics

Multiple undergraduate research opportunities in experimental aerodynamcs are available in Prof. Gloutak’s research lab. Students will assist in designing and manufacturing test articles, wiring instrumentation, operating the wind tunnel, record data using anemometry and laser diagnostics, analyze and synthesize findings in presentations, reports, and/or papers. Potential projects are available in the following areas: (1) active flow control, (2) wing in ground effect, (3) wind tunnel design. Please indicate, in order of interest, the area(s) you are explicitly interested in working.

Gloutak Lab
Why join this research group or lab?

Prof. Gloutak's lab focuses on examining the fundamental flow physics encountered by various aerodynamic platforms, from small-scale uncrewed aerial vehicles to full-scale aircraft. We aim to foster a collaborative and supportive group that ultimately will contribute to the state-of-the-art knowledge in fluid mechanics.
